9 Chinese, Russian Military Aircraft Enter South Korea’s Air Defense Zone

Seoul: Nine Chinese and Russian military aircraft briefly entered and exited South Korea's air defense identification zone (KADIZ) over waters to the east and south of the country, as reported by South Korea's military on Tuesday.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the incident involved two Chinese military planes and seven Russian aircraft, which entered the KADIZ around 10 a.m. This prompted the South Korean military to dispatch Air Force fighter jets in response. The Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) confirmed that the aircraft did not violate South Korea's air space and were detected before entering the air defense zone. Further details on the incident were not immediately available.
