2026 LCK Cup Finals to Be Held in Hong Kong for the First Time

Hong kong: The finals of the 2026 League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK) Cup are scheduled to take place in Hong Kong, marking a historic occasion as it will be the first time any LCK competition is held outside South Korea, as announced by its organizer on Tuesday. The final rounds and finals are set to occur at Kai Tak Arena from February 28 to March 1, according to LCK.

According to Yonhap News Agency, LCK has traditionally hosted all its competitions within South Korea since its inception in 2012. The decision to host the event in Hong Kong aims to provide global League of Legends enthusiasts with the opportunity to experience LCK games live, thereby aiding in the expansion of its fan base across Asia.

The competition, which started on January 14, features ten South Korean teams, including defending champion Hanwha Life Esports. LCK introduced the LCK Cup tournament the previous year to determine South Korea's representative for the First Stand Tournament, a new international League of Legends event, while also merging the spring and summer splits into one season.
