Haenam: Two people were seriously injured when a light aircraft crashed in the southwestern county of Haenam on Saturday, authorities said. The aircraft went down at around 3:10 p.m. while en route from Muan Airport to Sani Airfield.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the two individuals involved in the crash - an instructor and a student, both in their 20s from Chodang University - were taken to nearby hospitals. The student was rescued conscious, while the instructor was found unconscious, as stated by firefighting officials.

The crash resulted in severe damage to one of the aircraft's wings, though it did not catch fire. Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the crash.
