1st Meeting of Global Cosmetics Regulation Platform Launches in Seoul

Seoul: South Korea's drug ministry announced Monday the commencement of the first meeting of a newly established platform that connects the heads of global regulatory agencies for cosmetics.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the inaugural gathering of the Global Cosmetic Regulatory Authority Summit, or GCORAS, began in central Seoul and is set to continue for a three-day period, concluding on Wednesday. The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety emphasized the significance of this event.

A total of 15 regulatory agencies from 12 countries, including Vietnam, Thailand, the United Arab Emirates, and Brazil, participated in the summit. The ministry expressed its intention to utilize this platform to spearhead global regulatory cooperation in the cosmetics sector.
