Suwon: The KT Wiz have announced the signing of former Major League Baseball pitcher Caleb Boushley. The 32-year-old right-hander has agreed to a one-year contract with the team, which could be worth up to $1 million. Boushley will receive $900,000 in guaranteed money, including a signing bonus, with the potential to earn an additional $100,000 through incentives.

According to Yonhap News Agency, Boushley was drafted by the San Diego Padres in 2017 and made his major league debut in 2023 with the Milwaukee Brewers. After a brief stint with the Minnesota Twins in 2024, Boushley played a career-high 25 games for the Texas Rangers in 2025. During his time in the majors, he recorded a 6.02 ERA over 43 1/3 innings without registering a win-loss record.

In September, Boushley was claimed off waivers by the Tampa Bay Rays but did not appear in any major league games for them. Instead, he pitched in three games for their Triple-A affiliate, the Durham Bulls. In 11 Triple-A outings this year, Boushley achieved a 2-1 record with two holds and a 2.14 ERA, along with 24 strikeouts and 13 walks over 33 2/3 innings.

Baseball Savant reports that Boushley utilized a six-pitch mix in the majors in 2025, which included a sinker, four-seam fastball, cutter, changeup, slider, and curveball. His addition to the KT Wiz rotation follows the signing of another former major leaguer, Matt Sauer. The team concluded the 2025 season with Enmanuel De Jesus and Patrick Murphy as their two foreign starters.

Earlier this month, the Wiz bolstered their lineup by acquiring Japanese pitcher Koki Sugimoto to complete their Asian quota for the upcoming season. The team has also been active in the domestic market, securing a maximum of three free agents, including 2025 Korean Series MVP Kim Hyun-soo.
