Seoul: South Korea's industry ministry announced on Friday that discussions on energy security cooperation were held with Saudi Aramco, Saudi Arabia's national oil company.
According to Yonhap News Agency, Vice Industry Minister Moon Shin-hak met with Mohammed Y. Al Qahtani, the downstream president of Saudi Aramco, in Seoul. During the meeting, Moon emphasized the critical need for a stable supply of crude oil and naphtha. The discussions also highlighted the importance of collaboration between the two countries in plant construction, as well as in the development of strategic oil storage and crude oil-storing infrastructure.
Moon further urged Saudi Aramco to assist South Korea in securing access to energy resources, especially in scenarios where there might be disruptions in energy supply chains.
