UNIST Accredited with ISO 45001 Certification!

On December 28, UNIST announced that it has been accredited with ISO 45001 Certification for its occupational health and safety management systems from System Korea Certification.

ISO 45001 is the world’s first international standard dealing with health and safety at work. It is also a certification bestowed upon organizations that are serious about improving employee safety, reducing workplace risks and for creating better and safer working conditions. This includes efficiently managing and allocating physical and human resources.
Since the inauguration of President Yong Hoon Lee, UNIST has implemented a safety and health management system that puts a much greater emphasis on management and staff engagement with health and safety. Its aim is to prevent hazards that may occur in laboratories and create a culturally safe research environment.
