U.S. Nuclear-Powered Submarine Docks in Busan for Supplies and Crew Rest

Busan: A U.S. nuclear-powered submarine has arrived at a key naval base in the southeastern city of Busan to replenish supplies and provide rest for crew members, according to South Korea's Navy. The USS Greeneville, a Los Angeles-class attack submarine, entered the naval base earlier in the day, as stated by the Navy.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the naval base in Busan is located approximately 330 kilometers southeast of Seoul. The arrival of the USS Greeneville is seen as an opportunity to enhance exchanges and cooperation between the navies of South Korea and the United States. The South Korean Navy emphasized the importance of strengthening the combined defense posture on the occasion of the submarine's entry.

The U.S. and South Korean navies aim to use this event to further their collaborative efforts in maintaining security and stability in the region. The visit of the USS Greeneville underscores the ongoing partnership and shared commitment between the two nations' naval forces.
