Trumps rules out military option against N. Korea: lawmakers
WASHINGTON-- U.S. President Donald Trump has approved a four-point policy plan on North Korea revolving around "every possible pressure" but a diplomatic solution, according to South Korean lawmakers Thursday.
A bipartisan group of South Korean politicians met with some U.S. government and congressional figures in Washington D.C.
They were briefed on the Trump administration's approach toward Pyongyang.
Trump signed a comprehensive policy report by the State Department earlier this month, the lawmakers quoted U.S. officials as saying.
It includes four main strategies -- not recognizing North Korea as a nuclear state, imposing every possible sanction and pressure, not seeking a regime change and resolve the problem with dialogue, they added.
