Trump says sanctions on N. Korea to stay until denuclearization

WASHINGTON, Sept. 25 (Yonhap) -- U.S. President Donald Trump said Tuesday that sanctions on North Korea will remain in place until the regime dismantles its nuclear weapons program.

Speaking to the United Nations General Assembly in New York, Trump said much work remains to be done to denuclearize the North, but thanked its leader, Kim Jong-un, for his "courage" and the steps taken so far to dismantle his nuclear and missile programs.
