Trump says N.K. missile launch ‘disrespected’ China

WASHINGTON-- U.S. President Donald Trump said Friday that North Korea "disrespected" China with its latest missile launch.

"North Korea disrespected the wishes of China & its highly respected President when it launched, though unsuccessfully, a missile today. Bad!" Trump tweeted.

Earlier in the day, the North fired an unidentified type of ballistic missile that exploded just seconds after liftoff, according to South Korea's military.

The U.S. Pacific Command also said that it detected a North missile fired from the Pukchang airfield north of the North's capital Pyongyang, but the missile did not leave North Korean airspace.
