Los Angeles: Taihan Cable and Solution Co., South Korea's second-largest cable company, announced that it has donated $100,000 worth of power cables to assist Los Angeles in rebuilding its infrastructure following recent wildfires. The donation aims to support the city's efforts in restoring essential services disrupted by the fires.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the contribution was made to the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power, a major public utility responsible for the city's power and water supply. This donation is part of Taihan Cable's ongoing collaboration with California power companies to develop specialized cables designed to help prevent fires.

In the past five years, Taihan Cable has supplied over 100 billion won ($68.7 million) worth of products to the western U.S. market, showcasing its commitment to supporting infrastructure needs in the region. A company official expressed hope that the donation will offer practical assistance to communities impacted by the wildfires, emphasizing Taihan Cable's role as a key supplier to the U.S. and its dedication to expanding collaboration in disaster prevention and infrastructure restoration.
