Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index witnessed significant upward movement, highlighted by notable increases in stock prices across various sectors. Key players in the index experienced substantial gains, reflecting a positive sentiment in the market.
According to Yonhap News Agency, Hyundai Rotem led the charge with a rise of 10,700, closing at 166,500. KPIC also saw a substantial increase, climbing 6,700 to reach 103,000. MiwonComcl recorded an uptick of 2,700, ending at 123,800, while Mirae Asset Securities closed at 39,200, up by 1,600.
SKC and Otoki registered gains of 8,100 and 4,500, closing at 87,800 and 314,000 respectively. Hyosung Heavy and Samsung Electronics Mechanic showed significant increases, closing at 2,866,000 and 1,448,000, with rises of 187,000 and 103,000. LG Energy Solution ended at 348,000 with a 27,000 gain.
On the other hand, Lotte Shopping was among the few to record a decline, dropping 6,200 to settle at 128,200. In contrast, HDKSOE and LS Electric experienced robust growth, closing at 381,000 and 223,500 with increments of 27,500 and 32,900.
Hanwha Aerospace and DOOSAN also made impressive strides, closing at 958,000 and 1,276,000, respectively, with increases of 67,000 and 61,000. LS and HD Hyundai Heavy Industries showed solid performance, rising 37,000 and 33,500 to end the day at 321,500 and 498,000.
The market saw widespread positivity, with gains extending to companies like Kumho Petrochem, HD CE, d'Alba Global, Samsung Epis Holding S, Mobis, and others, indicating a bullish trend in the current trading session.
