Stocks Surge as KOSPI 200 Sees Significant Gains

Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index witnessed a notable rise, with the majority of stocks closing higher. Among the top performers, HD Hyundai Electric led the surge, closing at 869,000, an increase of 74,000. This was followed by Hyundai Autoever, which saw a rise of 28,500, closing at 430,000.

According to Yonhap News Agency, other significant gainers included HD Hyundai, which increased by 19,500 to close at 231,500, and Hyosung TNC, which climbed 18,000 to reach 322,000. HanmiPharm also recorded a substantial gain, closing at 389,000, up by 20,000.

Further notable performances were seen from HDHMS, which rose by 14,500 to 215,000, and APR, which increased by 12,500 to 370,000. HYBE and HS Hyosung Advanced also marked advances, closing at 211,000 and 155,400, respectively, with HYBE up by 11,400 and HS Hyosung Advanced up by 9,400.

Meanwhile, Samsung Biologics saw a gain of 7,000, closing at 1,379,000, while Krafton ended the day at 237,500, marking an increase of 6,500. ISU Specialty Chemical recorded a gain of 5,200, closing at 60,700, and OCI rose by 4,800 to 88,300.

In contrast, a few stocks faced declines, with SK Square experiencing a drop of 9,000, closing at 1,221,000. On the other hand, BNK Financial Group saw a minor dip, down by 10 to close at 17,770. Overall, the market's upward trend was predominantly led by significant gains across various sectors.
