Seoul: South Korea's exports experienced a significant increase of 36.7 percent from the previous year during the initial 10 days of April, as reported on Monday. During this period, outbound shipments were valued at US$25.2 billion, a substantial rise from the $18.4 billion recorded in the corresponding period last year.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the data was provided by the Korea Customs Service. The report also highlighted that imports rose by 12.7 percent year-on-year, totaling $22.1 billion in the same timeframe. This increase in exports and controlled growth in imports resulted in a trade surplus of $3.1 billion.
