South Korea’s Export Surge: 45.3% Increase in Early August

Seoul: South Korea's exports experienced a significant increase of 45.3 percent from the previous year during the first 10 days of August, as revealed by recent data.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the Korea Customs Service reported that outbound shipments amounted to US$21.3 billion from August 1 to 10. This is a notable rise compared to the $14.6 billion recorded in the same period in 2025.

Imports also saw an increase, rising by 23.1 percent year-on-year to $19.5 billion in the same timeframe. This resulted in a trade surplus of $1.8 billion, highlighting the robust performance of South Korea's trade sector during this period.
