Guri: South Korean actress and K-pop singer Nana successfully thwarted a home intruder alongside her mother, as reported by local media. A man in his 30s allegedly broke into Nana's property armed with a weapon, threatening both women during the incident.

According to BBC, the 34-year-old singer's agency informed South Korean media that Nana, whose real name is Im Jin-ah, and her mother managed to subdue the intruder until the police arrived. During the altercation, Nana's mother lost consciousness, necessitating medical attention for both women, as reported by the Yonhap news agency.

A local detective disclosed to AFP news agency that the intruder intended to steal valuables and has been detained on charges of aggravated robbery. The suspect reportedly threatened and demanded money from the women after breaking into their home.

After restraining the intruder, Nana and her mother called the police. The intruder was also taken to the hospital for treatment, according to local media.

Nana initially gained fame in 2009 with the popular K-pop girl group After School. Although the group is no longer active, Nana has established herself as a prominent actor over the past decade. She has starred in several TV series, including the crime dramas "Kill It" and "Justice," both of which first aired in 2019. In addition to her acting career, Nana released her first solo album in September.
