Seoul:The South Korean military and the U.N. Command have conducted a collaborative investigation into a suspected mine explosion within the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ), as reported by officials on Sunday.

According to Yonhap News Agency, a team of approximately 40 personnel from the Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) surveyed the vicinity of the explosion site using mine detectors. This investigation took place six days after the incident, which occurred south of the Military Demarcation Line (MDL) that divides the two Koreas, resulting in serious injuries to two officers.
