Seoul: South Korean bond yields observed a slight increase across various tenors during the morning trading session on January 16, 2026. The 1-year Treasury Bond (TB) yield rose to 2.561%, marking an increase of 0.3 basis points from the previous session's 2.558%. Similarly, the 2-year TB yield moved to 2.898%, up by 0.2 basis points from 2.896%.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the 3-year Treasury Bond yield experienced a more notable rise, reaching 3.109% from 3.090%, a change of 1.9 basis points. The 10-year Treasury Bond yield increased to 3.506%, up by 1.3 basis points from the previous session's 3.493%.
In the monetary stabilization bond segment, the 2-year Monetary Stabilization Bond (MSB) yield climbed to 2.943%, an increase of 1.5 basis points from 2.928%. The 3-year Corporate Bond (AA-) yield also saw a rise, moving to 3.582% from 3.565%, reflecting a change of 1.7 basis points.
