Washington d.c.: South Korean Ambassador to the United States Kang Kyung-wha is set to visit Georgia, Texas, and Arizona next week with an aim to bolster bilateral industrial cooperation, as announced by the foreign ministry on Friday. The visit is part of a broader initiative to strengthen "public diplomacy" with the United States.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the delegation led by Kang will spend Monday through Friday in the three states. The agenda includes conferences in collaboration with major universities and visits to factories operated by prominent South Korean companies such as Hyundai Motor Group, Samsung Electronics Co., and LG Energy Solution Ltd.
The objective of the visit is to advance the "future-oriented, comprehensive strategic alliance" between South Korea and the U.S. It also aims to promote a better understanding in the U.S. of South Korea's strategic importance as a key partner in industrial cooperation, as per the foreign ministry's statement.
