The section began commercial service on November 1, 2010, culminating nearly two decades of construction and resulting in the comprehensive operation of the bullet train line between Seoul and Busan.
Additionally, the historical timeline reveals other notable events, such as the 1991 cultural exchange accord between South Korea and Romania, fostering international cultural relations. In 2000, Korean Air’s unionized pilots initiated their first-ever strike, marking a significant moment in the country’s aviation sector. Furthermore, in 2009, the main opposition Democratic Party secured three out of five contested seats in parliamentary by-elections, showcasing the dynamic nature of South Korea’s political landscape.
