South Korea Dismisses North Korea’s Confrontation Claims

Seoul: South Korea has no "hostile" intent toward North Korea, the presidential office stated, addressing Pyongyang's allegation that a joint fact sheet on recent South Korea-U.S. trade and security agreements signifies a confrontational policy toward the North.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the presidential spokesperson Kang Yu-jung emphasized in a press notice that South Korea remains committed to easing inter-Korean tensions and rebuilding trust. The spokesperson reiterated that the nation's security cooperation with the United States is focused on safeguarding national interests.
