Seoul: SK Group reported a significant 20 percent increase in groupwide exports for the first nine months of 2025, driven by a surge in demand for semiconductors produced by SK hynix Inc., its leading semiconductor arm.

According to Yonhap News Agency, SK Group's combined exports reached 87.8 trillion won (approximately US$59.5 billion) from January to September, compared to 73.7 trillion won during the same period last year. The conglomerate forecasts its total exports for the year to hit 120 trillion won, surpassing the previous year's figure of 102.5 trillion won and marking a second consecutive year of exports exceeding 100 trillion won.

SK Group credited the export growth to the high demand for SK hynix's high bandwidth memory (HBM) products. During the reported period, SK hynix contributed 65 percent to the group's total exports, up from 54 percent in 2024.

The corporate tax contributions from SK hynix also saw a dramatic rise, amounting to 4.3 trillion won over the nine-month period, a significant jump from the 94 billion won recorded in the previous year, as reported by the group.
