Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index saw a variety of movements as prominent companies experienced changes in their stock prices. Leading the gains, HD Hyundai Electric saw an increase of 34,000, closing at 832,000. The stock of Doosan surged by 39,000, reaching a closing price of 928,000. Among other notable gainers, APR rose by 7,000 to finish at 254,500, while Hyundai Rotem increased by 5,800, closing at 182,000.
According to Yonhap News Agency, several companies experienced declines. HanmiPharm saw a drop of 4,000, ending at 426,000, while Kolon Industries decreased by 900, closing at 44,900. CJ Logistics also faced a downturn, dropping 1,800 to a closing price of 97,500.
Other companies exhibited upward trends, with LIG Nex1 rising by 4,500 to close at 372,500, and Samsung Life increasing by 1,200 to finish at 158,200. Kia Corp. also saw a significant rise, gaining 3,300 to close at 123,600. Meanwhile, GS and KT and G both experienced slight declines, each dropping by 300.
The trading session highlighted varied performances across sectors, with companies such as Netmarble and Orion experiencing slight decreases, while others like SK hynix and Hanwha Vision observed gains. The fluctuations in the stock prices reflect ongoing market dynamics and investor sentiments within the KOSPI 200 index.
