Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index saw a mix of gains and losses as trading closed, with notable fluctuations in the stocks of key companies. SK hynix emerged with one of the largest increases, closing at 510,000, a rise of 31,500. POSCO Holdings and LG Energy Solution also experienced significant gains, closing at 325,500 and 492,000, increasing by 17,500 and 44,500, respectively.

According to Yonhap News Agency, other stocks such as HYOSUNG HEAVY and LGCHEM also saw upward movements, with HYOSUNG HEAVY closing at 1,903,000, an increase of 52,000, and LGCHEM at 401,000, up by 11,500. Meanwhile, KIWOOM and KEPCO E and C also recorded gains, ending at 272,000 and 109,400, marking increases of 10,000 and 5,100, respectively.

Despite these gains, several companies faced declines. LGELECTRONICS saw a decrease of 2,200, closing at 88,000, while HYUNDAI ROTEM fell by 7,000, ending at 234,500. LOTTE SHOPPING and COSMAX also recorded losses, with their prices dropping by 400 and 1,500, closing at 67,100 and 204,000, respectively.

Overall, the day's trading highlighted varied performances across sectors, reflecting ongoing market dynamics and investor sentiments.
