Significant Fluctuations in KOSPI 200 as Multiple Stocks Decline

Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index witnessed a day of fluctuations with various stocks experiencing significant changes at the close of the market. Notably, several companies saw their stock prices decline, while a few reported gains, indicating a mixed performance on the index.

According to Yonhap News Agency, among the companies that experienced a decrease in their stock prices were Sanil Electric, which fell by 3,900 to close at 130,100, and LIG Nex1, which saw a substantial drop of 10,000, closing at 421,000. Hyundai Marine Engine also faced a decline, closing at 89,500, down by 1,700. POSCO Holdings reported a decrease of 9,000, ending the day at 305,000.

Some stocks, however, showed upward movement. GS experienced a rise of 2,300, closing at 56,300, while Asia Holdings increased by 7,500, reaching 326,500. Hyundai Motor recorded a gain of 3,000, ending at 296,500, and Samsung Electronics saw an increase of 400, closing at 119,900.

Additional declines were seen in stocks such as SKBP, which fell by 900 to 124,600, and HDKSOE, closing at 407,000 after a drop of 3,500. On the other hand, Youngone Holdings reported a gain, closing at 191,500, up by 1,700.

Overall, the closing prices of the KOSPI 200 stocks revealed a day of varied performances, reflecting a dynamic trading environment for investors.
