Seoul: SeAH Besteel Holdings Corp. on Thursday reported its second-quarter net income of 35.2 billion won (US$24.3 million), up 93.4 percent from a year earlier. The company, which specializes in stainless and high-alloy special steel products, detailed these results in a regulatory filing, highlighting a strong performance in its latest financial quarter.
According to Yonhap News Agency, SeAH Besteel posted an operating profit of 60.5 billion won for the quarter, a rise from 44.5 billion won a year ago. Additionally, the company's sales increased by 17.8 percent, reaching 1.13 trillion won. These figures surpassed market expectations, as the average net profit estimate by analysts was 33.7 billion won, based on a survey conducted by Yonhap Infomax, the financial data firm of Yonhap News Agency.
