Pyeongtaek: Samsung E and A Co., a plant builder under the Samsung Group, announced it has secured a 909.6 billion-won (US$653.2 million) contract to work on a semiconductor facility for Samsung Electronics Co., another key affiliate within the conglomerate.

According to Yonhap News Agency, Samsung E and A will be responsible for the finishing work of Phase 4 at the P4 plant located at Samsung Electronics' Pyeongtaek Campus, situated south of Seoul. The project is scheduled to reach completion by July 2027.

The Pyeongtaek Campus of Samsung Electronics is among the largest chip manufacturing complexes globally, with plans to accommodate six chipmaking plants on a 4 million-square-meter site by 2030. The P1, P2, and P3 plants at the site are already operational.
