Seoul: Samsung C and T on Wednesday reported its first-quarter net income of 1.08 trillion won (US$734.7 million), marking an increase of 15.9 percent compared to the same period last year.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the construction and engineering company disclosed in a regulatory filing that its operating profit for the January-March period stood at 720.4 billion won, reflecting a slight decrease of 0.6 percent from the previous year. Meanwhile, the company's sales for the first quarter increased by 7.5 percent, reaching a total of 10.46 trillion won.
