Seoul: Samsung Biologics Co. announced on Wednesday that it has successfully negotiated two significant contract manufacturing agreements with a European biopharmaceutical company, collectively valued at 930.4 billion won (approximately US$667.7 million). These contracts are poised to extend through to the end of 2031, with individual deal valuations of 752.4 billion won and 178 billion won, respectively. Due to a confidentiality agreement, further specifics regarding the agreements have not been disclosed. According to Yonhap News Agency, Samsung Biologics has achieved a total of 11 contracts this year, amassing a combined value of 5.29 trillion won. This achievement marks a significant milestone as it is the first time the cumulative value of the company's deals has exceeded the 5 trillion won threshold within a single year. In comparison, last year, Samsung Biologics recorded deals amounting to a total of 3.5 trillion won, highlighting substantial growth in their contract manufacturing operations.
