S. Korean Bond Yields Show Mixed Movements on January 2, 2026

Seoul: South Korean bond yields exhibited mixed movements on the morning of January 2, 2026, as various maturities experienced both increases and decreases in their rates. The 1-year Treasury Bond (TB) yield slightly decreased to 2.553% from the previous session's 2.556%, marking a change of -0.3 basis points. In contrast, the 2-year TB yield increased by 0.8 basis points, moving from 2.796% to 2.804%.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the 3-year TB yield saw a decline, dropping from 2.953% to 2.944%, which reflects a change of -0.9 basis points. Meanwhile, the 10-year TB experienced a minor rise, with its yield inching up by 0.2 basis points from 3.385% to 3.387%.

The 2-year Monetary Stabilization Bond (MSB) yield registered a decrease, moving from 2.834% to 2.828%, a change of -0.6 basis points. Additionally, the 3-year Corporate Bond (CB) with a rating of AA- showed a decrease in yield by 1.4 basis points, falling from 3.476% to 3.462%.
