S. Korea-Latin America forum to discuss cooperation in 4th industrial revolution
SEOUL-- South Korea will host an annual trade forum with senior officials and business executives from Latin American countries later this month to debate how to boost cooperation in the era of the fourth industrial revolution, organizers for the event said Saturday.
The Korea-Latin America Future Cooperation Forum will run from June 28 to 30 in Seoul, organizers said.
During the three-day forum, participants "will exchange views on the impact, challenges and opportunities brought about by the Fourth Industrial Revolution in South Korea and Latin American countries," organizers said in a statement.
The fourth industrial revolution is widely seen as the next major evolution that could transform how businesses operate and people live. It is expected to overhaul how business operate and fuel demand for new goods and services that can herald a new period of economic growth.
Peru's second Vice President Mercedes Araoz is scheduled to give a keynote speech during the forum.
