New delhi: The South Korean customs agency announced on Wednesday its agreement with India's Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs to enhance cooperation in customs affairs and facilitate smoother trade between South Korea and India.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the Korea Customs Service (KCS) met with Indian officials in New Delhi on Tuesday, where they urged the Indian government to support seamless customs clearance for South Korean businesses. The KCS highlighted issues faced by South Korean firms in India related to customs and discussed bilateral cooperation, including potential training programs.

Han Min, director general for international affairs at the KCS, emphasized the importance of India as a major partner in the Asia-Pacific region. He stated that both countries are committed to strengthening cooperation to overcome obstacles faced by South Korean companies exporting to India.
