Seoul: Renault Korea Motors Co., the South Korean subsidiary of France's Renault S.A., reported a significant drop in sales for November, with a 69.4 percent decrease compared to the same period last year. The company announced that it sold a total of 4,649 vehicles last month, a sharp decline from the 15,180 units sold in November of the previous year.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the domestic sales for Renault Korea fell by 51 percent, reaching 3,575 units from the previous year's 7,301 units. The company's exports experienced an even steeper decline, plunging 86.4 percent to 1,074 units from 7,897 units in the same period last year.

Despite the overall downturn in domestic sales, the Grand Koleos sport utility vehicle (SUV) was a driving force, with 2,403 units sold in November. Notably, the hybrid E-Tech model of the Grand Koleos accounted for 2,052 units, representing 85.4 percent of the total Grand Koleos sales.

In the period from January to November, Renault Korea's overall sales saw an 11.9 percent decline, with 81,295 units sold compared to 92,292 units during the same timeframe last year. Renault Korea's current vehicle lineup includes the SM6 midsize sedan, the Grand Koleos, the Arkana SUV, and the Master minivan.
