Renault Korea’s April Sales Drop Over 40 Percent

Seoul: Renault Korea Motors Co., the South Korean unit of France's Renault S.A., reported a decline of over 40 percent in its April sales compared to the previous year, attributed to decreased demand in both domestic and overseas markets. The automaker announced that it sold 6,199 vehicles in April, marking a 40.5 percent decrease from the same month last year.

According to Yonhap News Agency, domestic sales experienced a 23.4 percent decline, reaching 4,025 vehicles last month. Meanwhile, overseas sales saw a significant drop of 58 percent, with only 2,174 units sold during the same period. Despite the overall downturn, the Filante sport utility vehicle (SUV), which was introduced to the market in March, emerged as the top-selling model in South Korea with 2,139 units sold.
