Seoul: The presidential Office of National Security (ONS) announced that it convened an emergency meeting to address North Korea's recent launch of what is believed to be a short-range ballistic missile. This event marks North Korea's second missile firing following a similar test on October 22.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the North Korean missile was launched toward the East Sea shortly after noon, as reported by the Joint Chiefs of Staff. In response, the ONS reviewed potential response measures and directed relevant agencies to implement necessary actions.

The presidential office issued a statement urging Pyongyang to halt activities that jeopardize peace on the Korean Peninsula and condemned the missile launches as violations of U.N. Security Council resolutions. The ONS also noted that the missile launch was promptly reported to President Lee Jae Myung.
