Presidential candidate of Uzbekistan proposes to introduce jury trial and luxury tax

Candidate for the presidency of Uzbekistan from the People's Democratic Party Ulugbek Inoyatov proposed introducing the institution of a jury trial, a luxury tax and digitalization of medical services. The politician presented his election program at the XIII Congress of the party, held on May 29, the press service of the organization reports. The main goal of the program is the creation of a democratic state in the country that meets the criteria of social justice, social equality and democracy, the press service stresses. The document contains about a hundred proposals affecting various areas of life, from education to the economy. Inoyatov proposes to introduce a tax on luxury, as well as to establish tax for citizens who earn through advertising on the Internet, in particular, on social media. In addition, the presidential candidate believes that it is necessary to create the same benefits for Uzbek investors as for foreign ones. The candidate paid special attention to legal reforms. Among the initiatives are the introduction of the institution of jury trial, the practice of annual rotation of chairs of regional, district and city courts, as well as the need to strengthen the control of supervisory authorities, public control and profile inspection in the implementation of the labor rights of the population.
