Seoul: The U.S. Department of Defense announced that changes to the ongoing South Korea-U.S. military exercise will maintain the intended training objectives and uphold the allies' readiness.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the adjustments to the Ulchi Freedom Shield exercise, made following a directive from U.S. President Donald Trump, will see the exercise conclude on Friday, a week earlier than initially planned. Additionally, associated live-training events have been reduced. However, the Department of Defense emphasized that these modifications are designed to preserve essential readiness and ensure no impact on U.S. training goals.
