Paraguay to Receive Korean Electric Buses and Trucks to Boost Electromobility

Seoul: Paraguay is set to receive an important donation from the Korean government, consisting of 60 electric jeepney buses and 20 electric pickup trucks. These vehicles are expected to arrive in October, with assembly planned to take place locally, allowing them to be operational by the end of the year.

According to Nam News Network, this initiative is part of a cooperative project with the Korean government aimed at enhancing Paraguay's capabilities in the electromobility sector. This collaboration included the training of 40 Paraguayan engineers in Korea, focusing on establishing a tooling industry in Paraguay for the design and manufacturing of dies for electric vehicles.

The introduction of these electric vehicles and the development of local tooling capabilities are key steps in Paraguay's strategy to transform itself into a regional hub for electromobility. This move aligns with the country's broader goal of fostering a new industry and supporting sustainable transportation solutions.
