The Netherlands continued their short track golden Games with a superb women’s 3,000 metre relay victory from 2018 Olympic champions South Korea in Beijing on Sunday. And there was individual gold at long last for Hungary’s Shaoang Liu with a brilliant triumph in the men’s 500m. A bold overtake five laps from the end set up the relay win for Dutch quartet Suzanne Schulting, Selma Poutsma, Xandra Velzeboer and Yara van Kerkhof as they lowered their own Olympic record to 4 minutes 3.4 seconds.
