Seoul: NCSOFT Corp., a South Korean game developer, on Tuesday reported its third-quarter net income of 347.4 billion won (US$238.5 million), shifting from a loss of 26.5 billion won a year earlier.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the company revealed in a regulatory filing that it continued to post an operating loss of 7.5 billion won for the July-September period, compared with a loss of 14.3 billion won a year earlier. Sales fell 10.4 percent to 360 billion won.
The earnings exceeded market expectations. The average estimate of net profit by analysts stood at 114.8 billion won, according to a survey by Yonhap Infomax, the financial data firm of Yonhap News Agency.
