Navy to Hold International Maritime Defense Exhibition in Busan Next Week

Busan: The Navy announced on Wednesday that it will host a biennial international maritime defense exhibition in Busan next week. This event is set to take place at the Busan Exhibition and Convention Center, situated approximately 320 kilometers southeast of Seoul.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the four-day International Maritime Defense Industry Exhibition will commence next Wednesday, featuring participation from over 200 defense companies across 14 countries. The exhibition will showcase various warships and equipment, such as the ROKS Marado amphibious landing ship, the ROKS Gyeongnam frigate, and the Korean Amphibious Assault Vehicle.

The exhibition is anticipated to attract foreign delegations from 30 countries. The Navy plans to engage in bilateral talks on the sidelines of the event to explore avenues for enhancing maritime security cooperation.
