Busan: The Navy is set to conduct a fleet review in the southeastern city of Busan later this month, following a delay caused by political unrest linked to the ousted former President Yoon Suk Yeol's unsuccessful attempt to impose martial law.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the event is scheduled to take place at a naval base in waters off Busan, approximately 330 kilometers south of Seoul, from September 25 to 27. This marks the sixth fleet review since its inception in 1949 by the armed service.

The Navy initially planned to hold the event in May to commemorate the 80th anniversaries of South Korea's liberation from Japanese colonial rule (1910-45) and the establishment of the South Korean Navy. However, it was postponed to the latter half of the year.

The forthcoming fleet review will showcase around 30 warships and 20 aircraft. It will not include foreign vessels as the event was organized domestically due to the delay.
