Seoul: Naver Corp. announced that its cloud computing unit, Naver Cloud Corp., has acquired digital health care company Cenacle Inc. as part of its strategic efforts to diversify its business portfolio. Naver Cloud, which previously held an 8.8 percent stake in Cenacle, has now become the largest shareholder following an additional stock purchase. The financial details of the investment were not disclosed by the company.

According to Yonhap News Agency, Cenacle is a South Korean health care technology firm specializing in cloud-based electronic medical records and an online consultation platform. The firm received recognition as one of the world's top health-tech companies of 2025 by Time magazine. This acquisition aligns with Naver's ongoing efforts to accelerate its expansion into the health care sector.

In recent months, Naver has been actively investing in the health care industry. In August, the company invested in Seoul-based medtech firm JNPMedi Inc. Additionally, in October, Naver signed a partnership agreement with InBody Co., a South Korean company known for its body composition analyzers.
