Nam Joo-hyuk to Star in Disney+ Crime Thriller ‘Code’

Seoul: Actor Nam Joo-hyuk has been cast for the upcoming Disney+ original Korean series "Code," set to premiere next year, the streaming platform announced Thursday. Nam takes on the role of Yoon Tae-joo, a prosecution investigator-turned-lawyer who is determined to become a partner at a prestigious law firm.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the 12-part series centers around a mysterious app named "Code." This app has the power to make wishes come true, but it comes with significant repercussions. The storyline is adapted from a Taiwanese series that aired in two seasons in 2016 and 2019. Additionally, a Japanese version featuring Kentaro Sakaguchi was released in 2023.

"Code" is directed by Yoo Su-min, who is recognized for his work on the first and second seasons of the school drama series "Weak Hero." The new series promises to deliver a gripping narrative filled with unexpected twists and moral dilemmas.
