Seoul: North Korea's top newspaper on Thursday prominently featured leader Kim Jong-un's attendance at a Chinese military parade alongside Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin on its front page.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the Rodong Sinmun, North Korea's most widely read newspaper, devoted the first three pages of its Thursday issue to stories and photos of Kim's participation in the military parade held in Beijing. This parade commemorated the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II and captured global attention.

On Wednesday, Kim stood with Xi and Putin at the center stage of the large-scale military parade, signaling a strengthening alliance among North Korea, China, and Russia, which stands in contrast to the United States-led unipolar world order. The newspaper's front page featured a photo of Kim positioned between Xi and Putin at the rostrum for top-level guests, highlighting Kim's pivotal role in the event.

Another front-page image showed Kim holding both of Xi's hands and smiling, underscoring the relationship between North Korea and China. The second page of the newspaper displayed images of Kim interacting with various state leaders, while the third page included photos from a reception hosted by Xi, as well as coverage of Kim's summit with Putin.

The previous day, Kim and Putin convened at a Chinese state guest house to discuss bilateral ties after attending the parade. Among the published photos was an exclusive shot of Kim and Putin seated in Putin's private limousine and another showing the two leaders engaged in conversation over tea and refreshments.

This extensive coverage appears to be aimed at emphasizing Kim's status in the international community, marking his debut at a multilateral diplomatic event. Additionally, the Korean Central Broadcasting Station, North Korea's state-run radio service, also reported on Kim's attendance at the military parade and his summit with Putin during its Thursday morning broadcast.
