N. Korean Leader’s Sister Dismisses Seoul’s Peace Proposal, Refutes Loudspeaker Removal Reports

Pyongyang: The North Korean leader's influential sister announced that Pyongyang has dismissed a recent peace proposal from South Korea, contradicting Seoul's military claims about the removal of propaganda loudspeakers along the inter-Korean border.

According to Yonhap News Agency, Kim Yo-jong stated that North Korea has made it clear on several occasions that there is no intention to improve relations with South Korea. She emphasized that this stance will be permanently enshrined in North Korea's constitution. Kim affirmed that North Korea has neither removed any border-area loudspeakers aimed at Seoul nor plans to do so.

Furthermore, Kim cautioned that the recent changes to the forthcoming joint military exercises between South Korea and the United States do not warrant commendation and will ultimately prove ineffective.
