Seoul: North Korea fired an unidentified ballistic missile toward the East Sea on Thursday, South Korea's military said. The Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) detected the launch but did not provide further details.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the North last fired multiple ballistic missiles, presumed to be close-range ones, on March 10 as South Korea and the United States launched their joint springtime military drills.
