Musinsa to Open First Overseas Outlet in Shanghai

Shanghai: Musinsa Co., a South Korean fashion and retail platform company, announced plans to open its first overseas outlet in China as part of its global expansion strategy. The Musinsa Standard outlet, which features the company's in-house fashion brands, is set to open at the Huaihai Parkson shopping center in Shanghai on Sunday.

According to Yonhap News Agency, Musinsa chose Shanghai as the inaugural location for its overseas offline store because the city is becoming a trendsetting hub for young global consumers. The company plans to further expand its offline presence across China, beginning with the new Shanghai outlet.

In addition to the Musinsa Standard store, the company aims to launch a Musinsa Store outlet in Shanghai later this month. This outlet will be a curated K-fashion store featuring partner brands. Furthermore, Musinsa is planning to open a store in Tokyo next year.

Musinsa currently offers over 10,000 South Korean fashion brands on its online platform. In Korea, the company runs 32 Musinsa Standard outlets and six Musinsa Store locations. Of the domestic brands available, around 4,000 also sell their products through Musinsa Global, the company's English-language platform that targets 13 strategic markets, excluding China.
