Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index saw mixed trends as it closed with both gains and losses across various major companies. The index reflected a day of varied performances from key players in the South Korean stock market.
According to Yonhap News Agency, NCsoft experienced a decline, closing at 201,500, down by 3,000. In contrast, Kakao showed an increase, ending at 61,200, up by 3,100. KEPCO KPS also saw a dip, with its price dropping by 2,300 to close at 50,100. KIWOOM's stock fell by 2,000, closing at 296,500, while Kangwonland slightly decreased by 50 to 18,490.
LGCHEM enjoyed a rise, with its stock price increasing by 2,500 to 338,500. ShinhanGroup closed at 77,900, marking an increase of 1,100. Meanwhile, HD-Hyundai Marine Engine saw a significant drop, closing at 91,200, down by 2,600. KIH reported a notable increase, rising by 9,700 to 167,900. Celltrion also saw positive movement, closing at 181,300, up by 1,300.
Other significant movements included LGELECTRONICS, which increased by 200 to close at 91,800, and L and F, which rose by 2,100, closing at 105,600. TKG Huchems saw a decrease, closing at 18,820, down by 350. JB Financial Group and LG CNS remained unchanged at 26,050 and 62,100, respectively.
Significant gains were observed in HYUNDAI ROTEM, which surged by 9,800 to 189,600, and SANIL ELECTRIC, which increased by 4,100 to 134,000. SAMSUNG SDI CO., LTD. rose by 3,500 to 277,500, while ISUPETASYS saw a rise of 4,500, closing at 124,500. HYOSUNG HEAVY experienced a significant increase, rising by 83,000 to close at 1,840,000.
In contrast, KPIC saw a decline, closing at 144,900, down by 3,600, while OTOKI decreased by 3,500 to 385,000. LG Energy Solution also faced a decline, closing at 380,000, down by 3,500. Other declines were noted in emart, which fell by 700 to 82,400, and DoubleUGames, which decreased by 600 to 53,800.
